Abstract

On the 1st of January 2021 the first significant amendment of the Act CXXX of 2016 on Civil Procedure entered into force, which also affected the concept of the Act. The study analyzes the reasons that led to the novel amendment of the Code of Civil Procedure, presenting the main directions of the amendments through some legal institutions of litigation. The author analyzes the conceptual changes of some of the legal institutions included in the general part of the Code of Civil Procedure, introduced by the Act CXIX of 2020. These legal institutions are: bringing an action, amending the action, rejection of statement of claim, and regulating a party acting without a legal representative.
