Running out of environmental sustainability, or the sources of the food crisis and the ecological apocalypse

Abstract

We have reached an age, „the end of times” in which the expected fate of the natural foundations of life, the conditions of life and the future of humanity urges the responsible intellectuals to think particularly tensely. The unstoppable process of ecological crisis and collapse (the term „apocalypse” is also used in this sense) has been going on for decades (see the series of unsuccessful attempts by the EU to stop the present wave of species extinction, despite its richness in material and legal means). What are the two-thousand-year-old, biblical answers to sustainability questions?
