Abstract

High-risk activities often involve violations of personal rights, and it is no coincidence that the primary reason for the emergence of this strict liability regime was to provide compensation for death and injury. We should also remember that with technological progress, individuals are also acquiring assets that are of considerable value that do not have physical dimensions. Damage to these intangible assets can result in significant pure economic loss. In the following, we will focus on the specificities of non-pecuniary damage and damage awards in the context of liability for hazardous activities.
