Abstract

The study investigates in the topic of attitudes of the general population for legal instruments, connecting the mechanism of the stigmas. The base of the research was the assumption that people under guardianship are stigmatized by the legal instrument and it can be separated from the stigmas related to mental illness and disability. In the lack of national and international studies, and based on the interviews, there is no relation found between guardianship and stigma. People under guardianship mainly suffer from stigmatization related to their disability or illness.
