Abstract

Social innovation is of growing importance, bringing with it the need and opportunity to rethinking and approaching economic and social processes in new ways. Innovative solutions often involve bottom-up methods and processes that respond to real needs and provide workable answers to social problems. This is the case of the social farm model, which is becoming increasingly popular in our country. The basic legal framework for the creation of innovative solutions is in place, but in many cases the legislation needs to be 'fine-tuned' in order to be effective. The same is true of the social farm, which implements the characteristics of the social economy by involving disadvantaged people in value-creating work within the framework of multifunctional agriculture. The justification for this form of activity is demonstrated by an examination of certain aspects of the constitutional provisions.
