Review of textbook and handbook titled „Criminalistics”

Abstract

In this review I present the new book of Criminalistics published in the summer of 2022. The book written by 25 authors is textbook and handbook as well. The importance of the book is the complexity (it covers all parts of forensic sciences)  and in the other hand that similar handbook was last published in Hungary 10 years ago. The virtue of the book is that it pays attention the technical innovations which also effects on forensic sciences. In this writing first I review the circumstances of the publishing of the new book. After it I briefly review the history of the textbook literature of criminalistics and the place of the new work in this system. Finally I scope the most important formal and content characteristics of the book.
