Intersectional discrimination is a specific form of discrimination that arises from the inseparable interaction of multiple protected characteristics. In recent years, the phenomenon has received increasing attention in European Union policy documents and directives; however, further examination remains necessary. This article aims to contribute to the identification and scholarly analysis of the legal challenges related to intersectional discrimination. To this end, the article examines the conceptual foundations, the relevant European Union and Hungarian regulatory frameworks, and the typical manifestations of intersectional discrimination in the field of employment.
