Quo Vadis, Romanian Pension System

Abstract

The state of the Romanian pension system and current trends in its development are the subject of my short paper below. As a starting point, I have taken the ideas recorded in my PhD thesis as a starting point, and on this basis I have outlined some of the problems that have persisted unchanged since then, or that have emerged recently in the Romanian pension system. At the same time, I have also tried to present the way forward, taking into account the most recent legislative changes that currently shape the Romanian pension system.
